Mohamed Kamal is the Founder and the CEO at Omicsense, previously he was the Technology Solutions Manager at Analysis for life Technologies. He has +11 years of experience in molecular genetics and biotechnology applications.
As a genetic testing implementation consultant Mohamed implemented a lot of highly specialized genetic tests in large number of outstanding genetics testing facilities in Egypt.
He is enjoying a rich profile of Business, research and academic experience in Biotechnology, molecular biology, experimental design and data analysis.
Mohamed participated in the implementation and accreditation process of the first accredited pharmacogenomics NGS based lab in Egypt. His experience in accreditation processes and GLP standards enabled too many labs to obtain their international accreditation certificates under his guidance and help.
He is the technical consultant for a large number of nationally and internationally funded molecular biology research projects. Mohamed received his BSc degree from the Faculty of Science Cairo University Zoology/chemistry department in 2007. Then he spent over seven years working as a scientific research assistant for Biotechnology/Molecular Biochemistry program, Faculty of Science, Cairo University. During that time, he mastered not only many of molecular biology experiments, manipulating DNA, RNA and proteins, working with the most applicable Biotechnology protocols but also he gained an outstanding teaching experience. During his work Mohamed was awarded the Master’s degree in Cell Biology and Genetics, from Cairo university board in September 2014. Then he Co-Founded the Biotech® Company for scientific services, where he worked as Research and Development unit head. Mohamed also worked for five years as Genetic Testing Specialist in Al-Kamal Hospital for Andrology, Assisted Fertilization and Conception, Cairo. His efforts yielded successfully in inventing a new non-invasive diagnostic test which helps in male infertility assessing and diagnosis, this test patent is still under registration. Mohamed has published several research articles in various peer-reviewed journals. He was invited as an eminent speaker to give talks in many international conferences and scientific events.
